Job Summary
Coordinate maritime and port operations, supervise tugboat execution, and audit operational closures to ensure data quality. Identify opportunities to optimize performance and resource utilization while maintaining effective communication with shipping lines. Guarantee efficient equipment usage and uphold safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence standards. Requires 8 years total experience with 5 in maritime/port operations, advanced English, and proficiency in Navis 4/XPS and Microsoft Office. Based in Buenaventura, this role supports APM Terminals' global leadership in facilitating world trade and sustainable growth.
Required Qualifications
- Professional in Nautical or Naval Sciences
- Merchant Marine Officer or related fields
- Specialization in Logistics, International Business, Administration, Maritime or Port Administration
- Minimum total experience of 8 years
- At least 5 years of specific experience in the maritime and port sector, port operations, and containerized cargo handling
- Advanced English
- Knowledge and experience with TOS (Navis 4, XPS)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially advanced Excel, Power BI, and AI
- Knowledge of ISPS, IMDG, ISM, and MARPOL codes
- Leadership capability
