JDM Development Manager

Job Summary
Own the JDM engagement model across multiple programs and drive supplier capability, engineering governance, and process excellence. Lead supplier capability assessments, technical due diligence, and qualification while maintaining evaluation criteria and scorecards. Build strategic partnerships with key JDM suppliers by assessing performance maturity and driving improvement through structured feedback. Standardize JDM processes, governance, and best practices to ensure consistent execution throughout the product development lifecycle. Coach engineering teams on methodologies and promote knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years in consumer electronics, and ability to travel 10–20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related industries
- Experience working with ODM, OEM, EMS, or JDM partners
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept to mass production
- Experience improving engineering processes and governance
- Experience conducting supplier capability assessments or technical due diligence
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), with excellent communication and documentation skills
- Are able and willing to travel internationally, as required (approximately 10–20%)
