Job Summary
Science teacher (Middle School) responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned science instruction, utilizing hands-on laboratory activities, and fostering inquiry and problem-solving. The role involves curriculum development, data-driven assessment, collaboration with colleagues, integration of district-approved technology, and referral of students for RTI/ESL/counseling services as needed. Teachers work 10 months with benefits, maintain classroom management aligned with district policies, and contribute to school improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with proper Tennessee endorsement/licensure in Science Education or applicable middle grades certification
- Must demonstrate “Highly Qualified” status through Praxis testing and/or approved coursework in accordance with Tennessee Department of Education requirements
