Job Summary
Build and maintain customer, vendor, and peer relationships while troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steer loaders, and wheel loaders. Perform quality maintenance, diagnosis, disassembly, inspection, rebuilds, and reassembly of components including engines, power trains, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Complete preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and attachment repairs like hammers and buckets. Read and interpret parts diagrams, technical drawings, and service manuals to complete work orders and parts requisitions accurately. Perform work in accordance with published repair time schedules while maintaining a safe work habit and adhering to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment
- Trained and certified to operate equipment and forklifts
- Physically able to perform duties and lift to 75lbs
- A high school diploma or GED and basic math skills
- Ability to communicate, prioritize and maintain time management
- Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
- Acceptable driving record
- A history of safe work habits
Desired Qualifications
- Stick welding experience preferred
- MSHA certification preferred
- Computer literate with the ability to process information
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
- Maintain a great attitude toward work
- Adheres to company policies, procedures and practices as required
