Job Summary
Develop T&E strategies, test plans, safety releases, and data-collection requirements for the Javelin Close Combat Missile System in accordance with Army and DoD policies. Plan and coordinate flight tests, ground firings, environmental tests, and system-level integration activities, executing events at government ranges while ensuring safety and technical compliance. Analyze telemetry data, seeker performance, and missile flight dynamics to evaluate requirement compliance and system effectiveness. Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and digital simulations for design validation, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test readiness, and participate in failure investigations and corrective actions. Prepare technical documentation and milestone review materials for program leadership. This role supports the Tactical Aviation & Ground Munitions Project Office in Huntsville, AL, focusing on verifying the weapon's guidance, lethality, and survivability throughout its lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related technical experience
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems engineering or related technical field
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Javelin weapons testing, missile flight tests, or system-level verification activities
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, telemetry visualization systems, or equivalent
- Understanding of infrared seekers, guidance and control fundamentals, missile subsystems, or soldier‐launched weapon systems
- Familiarity with Army developmental/operational test processes and T&E planning frameworks
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional technical and test teams
