Java Software Engineer

Job Summary
Integrate new payment methods into the platform by developing clients that communicate with payment providers and third parties. Design and implement new platform features while enhancing the hosted payment page and maintaining public and internal APIs. Write unit and integration tests, contribute to architecture design, and refactor the codebase to improve the internal framework. Review code with peers and deploy new product versions. Participate in the team's compensated second-level on-call rotation outside regular working hours. This hands-on role focuses on developing and operating systems behind e-commerce payment flows for a global provider of integrated technology and payments solutions.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- At least three years of professional experience with Java
- Experience developing applications with a modern framework such as Spring
- Experience with Git, Maven, and relational databases
- The ability to design reusable, robust, and maintainable software components
- A strong awareness of software quality and engineering best practices
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership
- An interest in payment systems, integrations, and business-critical backend applications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Linux, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms
