Job Summary
Develop and implement new software programs while maintaining and improving the performance of existing applications that interact with in-house firmware. Design and update software databases, test products for strong functionality and optimization, and clearly communicate with management and technical support colleagues. Recommend improvements to current software as necessary to ensure robust operation. This role supports a startup revolutionizing RFID technology, requiring a candidate with 5+ years of Java experience and a Computer Science degree to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years' experience developing JavaFX and/or Swing applications
- comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- ability to take initiative in providing solutions to problems as they arise
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years' experience in web and software development using Java
- Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
- Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
