Job Summary
Implement, test, and operate software solutions using advanced security practices while performing ongoing security testing and code reviews to mitigate vulnerabilities. Debug, design, and develop new software or enhance existing applications, providing engineering recommendations to address security risks and improve system integrity. Contribute across all software architecture layers, maintain accurate technical documentation, and collaborate to promote secure coding principles. This role requires a minimum of seven years of software engineering experience, including six years in Java, with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph. The position offers a salary range of $104,000 to $166,000 and includes enhanced benefits for this critical National Security program.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Six (6) years of experience developing software in Java
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Open Source (NoSQL) products such as HBase, Accumulo, BigTable, etc.
- At least six (6) years of experience within the most recent eight (8) years developing production software in Solaris or Linux environments
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful services
- Demonstrated Java development expertise
- Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Prior experience developing analytics applications
Additional Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
