Job Summary
Design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products by executing software solutions, architecture design, and technical troubleshooting. Develop secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems while breaking down complex technical problems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, and synthesize visualizations from large data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring emerging technologies within the Corporate & Investment Bank Payments tech team.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Applied experience in software engineering
- Hands-on practical experience in system design
- Hands-on practical experience in application development
- Hands-on practical experience in testing
- Hands-on practical experience in operational stability
- Proficiency in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing code in a large corporate environment
- Experience in debugging code in a large corporate environment
- Experience in maintaining code in a large corporate environment
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages
- Experience with one or more database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD
- Knowledge of Application Resiliency
- Knowledge of Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications within a technical discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical processes within a technical discipline
