Job Summary
Develop and maintain Java-based applications while designing and optimizing Python scripts for data processing. Build and manage Kafka pipelines to handle real-time data streaming, ensuring scalability and reliability of software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver products and troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks. This role supports a growing small business federal contractor delivering IT, cybersecurity, and workforce development services.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Expertise in Python scripting
- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture
- Knowledge of message queues and streaming platforms
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Ability to write efficient, clean, and reusable code
- Bachelor's Degree
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
- TS/SCI Full Poly (Please note this position requires full U.S. Citizenship)
- 4-5 years experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
- 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker)
- Understanding of cloud-based deployments
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development
- Experience with data serialization formats (e.g., Avro, Protobuf)
