Job Summary
Java/J2EE Programmer contract role seeking mid-senior level developers to design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Java and SharePoint. Candidates should have extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and Oracle 11g, plus RESTful web services, Spring, JPA, JSP, AJAX, and related technologies. Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM practices, ability to work with solution architects and customers, and strong communication skills are required. Optional skills include secure web services, HTML5/CSS3, Maven, AngularJS, Bootstrap, JMS, JPA (EclipseLink), Ant, JUnit, Selenium, and CI (Jenkins). Multiple openings in Dallas, TX with in-person remote option.
Required Qualifications
- Over six years experience developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Over six years experience writing SQL statements against relational databases
- Over five years experience developing Java and JEE Applications
- Over five years experience designing relational databases
- Experience working with the Oracle (11g) relational database
- Strong understanding of RESTful web services
- Experience developing Sharepoint applications
- The primary job responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications using Java and SharePoint
- The Java applications primarily use an Oracle relational database and proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Following defined programming standards using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, RESTful web services, Spring, JPA, and predefined application components
- Knowledge of Agile software development practices is desired
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Develop understanding of customer processes, contribute to functional requirements documentation, work with solution architects and peers to design a solution
- Developers should facilitate code reuse across the department
- This position requires wide application of technical theories and concepts in web development
- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult business problems
