Job Summary
Design and develop complex integration solutions using Java and Spring Boot to solve business challenges, building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices that connect multiple enterprise applications. Lead technical implementation of Azure cloud services including Functions, Key Vault, and Managed Identities while implementing OAuth 2.0 authentication and secure API communication patterns. Direct and mentor less experienced developers on complex projects, analyze technical specifications, and execute comprehensive unit testing and debugging activities. Monitor application performance using Azure tools to optimize efficiency and evaluate new technologies to improve development standards. This 6-18 month hybrid contract in Buffalo, NY offers a $75-80/hr rate for a W2 employee.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with strong Java proficiency
- Expert-level knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and concurrency patterns in Java
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and implementing build automation
- Solid understanding of Azure cloud services including Functions, Key Vault, Managed Identities, and monitoring capabilities
- Strong proficiency with HTTP client libraries, API authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, and error handling
- Demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
- Strong communication skills to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
