Job Summary
Senior Java full-stack developers collaborate with Business/QA/Design and PMs to design software solutions, write clean, well-tested code, and advocate for engineering best practices. Responsibilities include learning and applying TDD, pair programming, design patterns, and continuous delivery to deliver high-quality software; building innovative customer experiences; creating large-scale distributed systems from microservices; collaborating with teammates to incorporate UX and architectural considerations; applying technology radar insights; leveraging DevSecOps tools to deploy software; overseeing end-to-end delivery from ideation to deployment; mentoring less-experienced peers through technical knowledge and leadership. Qualifications require 4+ years of full stack development with Java, Springboot, React, and AWS/Azure; OO programming and SOLID principles; agility with XP/Scrum/Kanban; strong TDD and CI/CD familiarity; bonus familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker. The role may involve working onsite at Thoughtworks offices or client locations (five days per week depending on business/client needs). Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of full stack development experience in Java, Springboot, React and AWS/Azure
- Experience with Object-Oriented programming and SOLID principles
- Proficiency in writing high-quality, well-tested code
- Experience with Agile methodologies (XP, Scrum, Kanban)
- Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD practices/tools
- Bonus: cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and mentor juniors
- Experience delivering large-scale distributed systems (microservices)
- DevSecOps mindset and shifting security left in development
