Job Summary
Develop and test Java application software to modify existing architecture or implement new systems interfaces using Verizon DevOps libraries and configuration procedures. Gather requirements from internal customers, confirm adherence to industry and Verizon security coding standards via Fortify scans, and provide code reviews and documentation for DevOps packaging and deployment cycles. Setup and integrate software applications while delivering post-rollout support. This long-term, 100% remote contract requires 5+ years of Java, Spring Boot, and Angular experience with SQL Server and REST/SOAP services.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years development experience using Java with both J2EE and Spring Frameworks (including Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
- client-side programming with JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular
- implementing Java web services using Spring and standalone Jersey libraries
- experience with OAUTH, SAML, and LDAP authentication
- 4+ years of experience with JDBC and SQL Server
- 4+ years of experience with XML/JSON and developing SOAP and REST services
- Strong relational database design/development skills (SQL Server, PL/SQL, SQL Server)
- Eclipse
- basic Java unit-test and container-test tool suites
- application environments on Linux and Windows
- Knowledge of industry secure coding standards
- open to fixed-interval code reviews
- Git for revision control
- Maven for building and deploying
- BS in computer science or a related field
- Java Certified Programmer

- Experience converting historical Angular interfaces into React-based interfaces
