Job Summary
Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services while collaborating with business analysts, architects, and developers to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of new features. Write clean, efficient code following best practices, design modular solutions, and debug issues in existing applications. Participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and monitor performance for optimizations within Agile/Scrum processes. This 6-month contract role requires 100% office presence at Central World.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Java Developer
- Proficiency in Java
- Proficiency in Java-based frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Work in the office 100% at Central World
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with web services (RESTful APIs, SOAP), microservices, and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
