Job Summary
Java Development Lead for Citi's Equity Finance Technology team in Tampa. Responsible for solving high-impact problems across complex business processes and system interactions, providing expert applications programming and adherence to architectural blueprints, and developing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. Serves as adviser/coach to mid-level developers, allocates work, and collaborates with a global team to deliver solutions in an agile environment while ensuring risk management and regulatory compliance. Requires deep Java development experience, with additional expertise in Kafka, SQL, and Git, along with full stack capabilities (React exposure welcome). Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential, with the ability to drive architectural alignment and deliver innovative business solutions for the Post Trade platform in financial services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 6-10 years of relevant Apps Development experience
- Extensive experience in system analysis and software applications programming
- Subject Matter Expert in at least one area of Applications Development
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly
- Java, Kafka, SQL, Git proficiency
- Experience with QA
- Ability to work with global teams across geographies and time zones
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder management
