Job Summary
Conduct daily development on diverse software projects using Spring Boot, OpenJDK, Groovy, and REST APIs while consuming production systems at scale. Build and maintain scalable solutions with Docker, Terraform, and Prometheus, adhering to Agile methodologies managed via JIRA or similar tools. Collaborate with Product Owners and customers to make technical decisions and ensure clean code quality through JUnit and Spock testing. Work remotely with flexible hours, participating in weekly knowledge-sharing sessions and long-term client engagements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with OpenJDK and Groovy
- Experience with JUnit and Spock testing frameworks
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs, or otherwise building and maintaining a production system at scale
- Proficient understanding of Git version control system
- Experience with Docker, and familiarity with IaC and monitoring tools, such as Terraform and Prometheus
- Understanding the software development life cycle for medium to large projects
- Familiarity with agile methodologies of software development combined with JIRA, Trello, Asana, or similar tools
- Written and spoken English language at the intermediate level or higher
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience with TypeScript/JavaScript/Sass
- Additional experience with React
- Additional experience with Node
- Experience with AWS, Azure or similar cloud providers
