Job Summary
Java Developer for fully remote ELS Java Team, responsible for analyzing CVEs affecting Java open-source libraries, identifying safe dependency versions, backporting patches to older releases, and fixing vulnerabilities to deliver secure, production-ready updates; requires strong Java tooling expertise, experience with Maven/Gradle/Ant, Git/GitLab/Jenkins, and collaboration with security specialists to maintain backward compatibility across heterogeneous Java environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development
- In-depth knowledge of Java Core
- Experience with dependency management tools (Maven, Gradle, Ant)
- Experience with Git, Jenkins/Gitlab for CI/CD
- Experience with legacy systems and backward compatibility
- Experience with repository management systems such as Nexus is a plus
- Experience with Python is a plus
