Job Summary
Java Developer for Trading (Securities Lending) role within Citi's Equity Finance Technology team in Hong Kong. Responsible for developing and maintaining the Trading application, collaborating with traders to deliver business solutions through agile delivery. Requires strong expertise in Java and experience with Kafka, SQL, and Git. The role includes high-impact problem resolution, adherence to architecture and coding standards, developing testing and deployment practices (TDD/BDD), providing analysis across business areas, and coaching mid-level developers. Emphasis on risk awareness, regulatory compliance, and clear communication with stakeholders in a global, high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis
- Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Key Skills and Experience required: Java, Kafka, SQL, Git
- Experience in performing QA, TDD and BDD practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
