Job Summary
Java Developer role focused on designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise applications. Responsibilities include participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems, consulting with users and technology groups on issues, applying programming concepts, analyzing applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, performing testing and debugging, and acting as a SME to stakeholders. Requires hands-on Java with Spring Boot and Microservices, experience with WAS, MQ, Kafka, SQL, containerized deployments on ECS/OpenShift, and familiarity with CI/CD and security in distributed systems. Bachelor's degree and 5-9 years in financial services preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5-9 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
- Intermediate level experience in Applications Development
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture including RESTful API design
- Strong experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Kafka and IBM MQ
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database design, optimization, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications on ECS and OpenShift
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and application security in distributed systems
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Swift FileAct/InterAct/ ISO20022 knowledge is an advantage
