Job Summary
Lead the technical design and implementation of large-scale data processing and streaming applications using Apache Spark, Kafka, and Scala. Define architecture standards for distributed data platforms and build scalable APIs following OpenAPI specifications. Optimize batch and real-time pipelines, analyze system performance bottlenecks, and ensure solutions remain secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards. Mentor development teams through code reviews and technical guidance while collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across development processes and platform reliability. Participate in technical decision-making and roadmap planning for high-performance distributed systems built on modern cloud and big data technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Java development in enterprise environments
- Solid expertise in Apache Spark, including: Spark SQL, Spark Structured Streaming, Distributed data processing
- Hands-on experience with the Cloudera ecosystem
- Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
- Experience developing applications using Scala
- Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specifications
- Strong understanding of SQL databases and data modeling concepts
- Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Strong systems analysis and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience leading technical teams and complex software projects
- Ability to make architectural decisions and provide technical direction
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices
- Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities

- Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices
