Job Summary
Design, develop and maintain robust Java backend applications. Build microservices and scalable, high-performance APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices. Ensure performance, quality and responsiveness across the software lifecycle; identify and resolve technical issues; contribute to continuous improvement and technical innovation. Hybrid work arrangement based in Porto with availability to start in July or August. Locations: Porto, Portugal. Salary range is provided in EUR and includes fixed and variable components, subsidies, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years professional backend development experience in Java
- Strong Java knowledge and backend development principles
- Experience with Spring Boot and related frameworks
- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- English language proficiency at B2-C1 level
