Java Backend Developer

Job Summary
Design, develop, and test Java backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot; participate in Agile ceremonies and PI planning; collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software for financial products; optimize server-side performance, ensure data integrity and security, and integrate various financial systems and third-party services; provide dedicated post-implementation support in Asia; write clean, maintainable code with emphasis on best practices, testing, and CI/CD; strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Proficient in Java programming
- Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, JDBC templates, JPA)
- Experience with Java libraries including JSON, JDBC, Maven
- Knowledge of messaging (JMS)
- Unix/Linux and bash scripting
- Experience with testability, code reviews, and CI/CD
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
- Desirable: experience in financial services industry
