Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer position at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer & Community Banking Deposits platform. Responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting secure, scalable Java-based systems; leading an Agile team of around 6 engineers; expanding CI/CD automation; evaluating architectural designs with external vendors and internal teams; promoting engineering excellence, diversity, and inclusion; and applying microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud services, data streaming, and container orchestration to deliver reliable production code.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- 8+ years hands-on experience with Java, Spring, microservices
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Experience with data streaming/messaging (Kafka, Spark)
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- CI/CD tooling and automation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Mentoring engineers and leading cross-team improvements
