Job Summary

Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships to cover ministry expenses while researching the needs of Japanese international students. Mentor students by establishing connections, developing Bible discussion groups, and building deep relationships through outreach activities. Recruit and train volunteers for campus ministry teams, including creating programs to effectively engage Japanese international students. Connect with student associations and community groups to support the mission of extending hospitality to students from Japan. This role is performed remotely from Columbus, OH, with flexible hours and occasional evening or weekend availability for events and annual staff retreats.

Required Qualifications

  • Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
  • Is faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mission statement to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for Jesus
  • Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
  • Has a shepherd's heart for Internationals, a teachable and submissive spirit, and spiritual maturity
  • Ability to work under stress and be flexible
  • Committed to sharing faith in the context of personal relationships and investing deeply in students' lives
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of living in Japan or serving Japanese International students/immigrants
