Job Summary
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients by understanding their technical needs and making effective proposals. Support business development activities such as trade shows, networking events, and client meetings while serving as a liaison between clients and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution. Inspect and advise on deliverables, write documents such as emails and reports, and accompany the team on business trips within the US. Assist in client development and contribute to the establishment and growth of the new Durham, NC office as a founding member.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical / structural engineering roles
- At least 3 years of experience in project management or project leadership
- Experience working for a Japanese company
- Japanese (Beginner)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD
