Job Summary
Contract, bilingual Japanese-English Production Editor for Magic card sets. Edit English and Japanese text for cards, packaging, and related assets to ensure accuracy, consistency with Magic style and terminology. Build and maintain records in the Magic card set database and supporting documentation. Translate written materials between English and Japanese for Universes Beyond cards and packaging. Requires 2+ years of experience as a paid copy editor or proofreader in English and Japanese, and professional proficiency in English and Japanese (N3 or higher). Familiarity with Magic and experience with Smartsheet, InDesign, or InCopy is a plus. This is a remote-friendly, contingent W2 assignment through Workwell for up to 12 months in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a paid copy editor or proofreader in English and Japanese
- Professional proficiency in English and Japanese (N3 or higher)
- 2+ years of experience playing Magic
