Job Summary
Janitorial Technician responsible for providing janitorial services across facilities, including cleaning restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas; duties include vacuuming, carpet maintenance, trash/recycling, setting up furniture for meetings, on-site deliveries, moving items, minor equipment maintenance, and HVAC filter changes. Performs snow removal and exterior cleaning, reviews work orders, maintains safety and health protocols, provides task worksheets and weekly tracking sheets, participates in staff meetings, and supports the agency mission. Requires access to a personal vehicle for some tasks and a NYS driver’s license; role emphasizes reliability, confidentiality, and collaboration within a trauma-informed environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ Janitorial experience required.
- Candidates must have mechanical aptitude.
- The candidate must have a valid NYS Driver’s License with a driving record that follows Agency guidelines.
- Candidates must have reliable transportation as frequent travel between sites is required.
