Job Summary
Supervise janitorial teams across commercial buildings in Cleveland and Madison by handling client requests, arranging coverage for absences, and conducting regular building inspections to correct deficiencies. Train and develop new employees, manage disciplinary actions, and complete work tickets while sending reports to the Area Manager. Collaborate with HR to ensure proper staffing and complete ongoing education to maintain competency. Perform detail work and assist with supply orders as needed. This role requires 30-40 hours weekly on a varying schedule Monday-Saturday after 5pm. Reports to the Area Manager.
Required Qualifications
- 30-40 hours weekly
- Varying schedule with availability Monday-Saturday after 5pm
- Must be able to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
- Must be able to supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
- Must be able to work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
- Must be able to arrange for coverage in the event of an employee absence
- Must be able to take disciplinary action and/or termination of employees when necessary
- Must be able to perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met
- Must be able to correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
- Must be able to complete work tickets
- Must be able to send reports to Area Manager
- Must be able to recommend special project work when needed
- Must be able to complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position
- Must be able to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws
