Job Summary
Lead and train custodial staff in daily cleaning tasks, ensuring work meets established standards and procedures. Perform routine duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, and trash removal while conducting regular facility inspections to verify cleanliness and safety compliance. Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly, and respond to urgent cleaning needs, spills, and hazards. Coordinate with building management and maintenance personnel to address operational issues and assist in implementing safety protocols and quality-control measures. Monitor work quality, identify corrective actions, and promote a positive, respectful work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting
- Experience providing day-to-day guidance, training, or direction to custodial staff in an operational setting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safe chemical handling practices
- Strong understanding of various cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Valid Real ID
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies weighing up to 25-30 pounds regularly
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
