Job Summary
Supervise and lead a team of 3–5 janitorial employees while conducting daily pre-shift meetings to assign tasks, communicate safety reminders, and set daily goals. Perform janitorial duties alongside staff during shortages and maintain facility standards through daily inspections, walkthroughs, and documented before-and-after photo reporting. Ensure all cleaning schedules, inventory levels, and supply distribution are met while training employees on procedures, equipment, and chemical safety. Respond to customer concerns, report maintenance issues, and manage shift handovers via detailed pass-down reports. Work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM in a full-time role at Nashville Electric Service.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of janitorial supervisory experience
- Experience supervising employees in a commercial janitorial or custodial environment
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, floor care, equipment operation, and proper chemical usage
- Ability to coach, train, motivate, and hold employees accountable
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
