Job Summary
Janitorial Services Assistant — part-time flex role focused on maintaining clean facilities and supporting event setups. Responsibilities include assisting with event setups and breakdowns, routine and deep cleaning, classroom, bathroom, dining room, and building turnovers, cleaning tasks such as mopping and window cleaning, waste removal and recycling, communicating inventory and equipment status to the Hospitality Services Manager, and campus security with nightly lock-up and evening emergency support. Requires 6+ months of professional janitor experience in hospitality, adherence to safety guidelines, ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing ladders, etc.), a Washington driver’s license, and a commitment to equity and a drug-free workplace; must pass a child safety screening post-offer.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience of professional janitor work in the hospitality industry
- Be able to understand and follow safety guidelines
- Must be physically able to walk, stand, bend, twist, turn, kneel, stoop, climb ladders and stairs
- Able to use hand tools and push, lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- Washington State driver’s license and ability to obtain any licenses required for system or vehicle operation
