Job Summary
Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning restrooms in commercial buildings. Maintain landscaping and lawn areas through mowing, trimming, and general upkeep. Safely lift and carry heavy objects and equipment while operating box trucks to transport supplies and waste. Clean and maintain stainless steel surfaces and follow safety procedures for chemicals and hazards. Log work activities, report maintenance issues, and manage schedules using basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial duties within commercial buildings or similar environments
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy weights regularly
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate box trucks
- Basic computer literacy to perform data entry and communicate via email or work management systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and workplace hazards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with landscaping and lawn care equipment and techniques
- Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining stainless steel surfaces
- Certification in workplace safety or OSHA training
- Previous experience working in a facilities maintenance or custodial role in a commercial setting
- Ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues and perform basic repairs
