Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning of assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures following established housekeeping procedures. Sweep, dry mop, and wet mop floors; disinfect surfaces as necessary and perform emergency housekeeping for accidents. Vacuum carpets, clean resident and public bathrooms including all fixtures and dispensers, and replenish supplies. Execute terminal cleaning duties in discharged rooms and remove all waste and trash. Adhere to HIPAA minimum necessary guidelines to safeguard protected health information. Work Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in a long-term care facility north of Camden.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read and write
- Must possess the following abilities: follow oral and written instructions
- courteous and tactful in manner
- good personal cleanliness habits
- good physical and mental health verified by physical updates
- Ability to cooperate with fellow employees
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive task on a continuous basis
- Ability to perform tasks with due respect and consideration for any resident in the vicinity
- Noise must be kept at a minimum
- residents must never be rushed
- Aides must always knock before entering and explain his/her presence
- Should never clean room until nursing personnel gives permission
- Responsible to adhere to HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY guidelines and safeguard protected health information
- Must be self motivated
- able to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Floor tech experience a big plus
