Job Summary
Clean and stock all restrooms, vacuum public areas, empty garbage receptacles, and remove snow and ice from entrances and decks daily. Wipe down furniture, wash dishes as required, and maintain cleaning equipment while adhering to chemical safety protocols. Perform periodic inspections of work areas to identify unsafe conditions and correct them immediately. Work independently with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities to accommodate customer needs and maintaining courteous relationships with co-workers and guests. This full-time seasonal role runs from December through early-April, weather permitting, with shifts available from 1-9pm. Travel to the Summit House requires using chair lifts or gondolas under varying, often extreme, weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to write English legibly
- Must possess sufficient verbal and written communication skills to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to read and understand labeling specifications of all cleaning chemicals
- Able to perform basic calculations for mixing cleaning chemicals
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be available to work late nights with minimal supervision
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to be added to WSI insurance policy
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to work holidays
- Must be able to work overtime during peak demand times
- Must be able to work in a non-smoking environment
- Must be able to handle objects up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours daily
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements
- Must be able to stretch frequently
- Must be able to use cleaning equipment continuously
- Must be able to receive proper training on cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to access material safety data sheets for each chemical used
- Must be able to work with flexibility in schedule changes on short notice
- Must be able to travel to work (to Summit House) under varying, often extreme, weather conditions
- Must be able to travel via chair lift/gondola
- Must be able to work within the framework of company and department policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manuals
- Must be subject to WSI's Alcohol and Controlled Substance Abuse Policy
