Job Summary
Janitors are a vital asset on a remote camp site, supporting cleanliness under the Dexterra Group-CMO JV on the Waasigan Transmission Line Project. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing all common areas (gym, rec room, boot room, front lobby), managing waste and recycling, floor care with a T-300 scrubber, restocking hand sanitizer, and maintaining a safe work environment. The position operates in a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation within remote camp settings, with accommodations and meals provided, travel to site from designated Winnipeg/Thunder Bay/ Dryden area locations, and an hourly wage starting at $19.10. The candidate should have prior experience in remote lodge or institutional cleaning, be a team player, capable of prioritizing tasks, and able to meet physical demands and background checks. Required Qualifications
- Related experience in remote lodge setting or hotel/institutional environment
- Ability to commit to a 2 week on/2 week off rotation
- Must have valid government issued photo ID for travel to site
- Must have the ability to complete a Criminal Background Check
- Ability to handle the following physical demands: Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs; Climb ladders or stairs; Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time; Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands; Perform work with arms at full length; Work with arms above shoulder height
