Job Summary
Conduct routine janitorial and maintenance duties at Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, including vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash, and recycling. Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and compactors while adhering to safety policies and sustainability initiatives. Perform irregular extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Complete assigned tasks within allotted time and notify supervisors of neglected work areas. Maintain equipment and report damages, ensuring all work zones remain clean and orderly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and proper cleaning techniques, or willing to learn
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to lift and/or carry items of varying weight up to and including 100 pounds
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors; subject to adverse conditions
- Valid California Driver's License (required for Equipment Operator)
- Ability to pass forklift certification (required for Equipment Operator)
