Job Summary
This part-time janitorial position involves varied semi-skilled work in the maintenance of Salvation Army buildings. Responsibilities include routine cleaning of restrooms, office areas, kitchen, conference rooms, and public areas. The role also encompasses operating janitorial equipment, ordering supplies, assisting with event setup, and transportation as needed. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, some janitorial experience, and the ability to follow safety protocols while performing various cleaning tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Graduate or GED
- Some knowledge of the standard tools and practices of the various tasks needed for property up-keep
- Some knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary to complete assignments
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
- Must complete the Salvation Army vehicle course training
- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
- Must provide consent to a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds if needed
- Ability to perform routine janitorial tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial janitorial experience preferred
- Maintain a valid Food Handling Certification
- Willingness and ability to receive Class B License if needed

- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
