Job Summary
Janitor at Sunnyside Adult Residential Facility in Torrance, CA responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of a mental health group home. duties include cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and recreational areas; sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors; cleaning windows and high-touch surfaces; landscaping two courtyards; assembling resident furniture; changing lightbulbs and completing small maintenance tasks as directed by the Campus Maintenance Director; disinfecting and deodorizing according to policy; removing trash and relining receptacles with clean liners. Requires physical ability for cleaning tasks, background check, and U.S. work authorization. Full-time shifts with rotating schedules (5 days/wk or 4 days/wk options) and competitive pay $19.00-$21.25 per hour DOE; benefits include paid orientation, sick leave, holidays, medical/dental/vision, 401K, and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Must have previous janitorial experience
- Some maintenance experience/knowledge preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting
