Job Summary
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the apartment building, common, and amenity areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and sanitizing surfaces. Remove rubbish from the property, take out trash from designated locations, and deep clean common spaces, resident kitchens monthly, and bathrooms quarterly. Perform heavy cleaning duties including washing walls and glass, clean snow or debris from sidewalks, and notify management of building safety or maintenance concerns. Complete the daily cleaning duties checklist and adhere to the Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This Safety Sensitive position requires a commitment to service excellence, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and adherence to drug testing policies.
Required Qualifications
- Some High School education
- 1+ years of janitorial experience
- Must commit to service excellence with a friendly and positive attitude
- Maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude toward residents and community staff while maintaining required boundaries
- Able to keep up with the physical demands of being on your feet and walking for much of the day
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Ability to take direction, work productively on one's own, and adhere to a schedule
- Must be able to complete the cleaning duties checklist daily
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to travel to events and meetings off-site
- Position is designated as Safety Sensitive
- You may be subject to drug testing before or during your employment
- In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results
