Job Summary
Janitor responsibilities include cleaning floors, bathrooms, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash; dusting equipment, fixtures, and furniture; stocking supplies; basic maintenance tasks; and maintaining cleanliness of office, commercial, or plant areas. Requires ability to follow directions, knowledge of cleaning products, and good verbal communication. 10 hours per week with possible on-call hours; benefits and an emphasis on accommodating individuals with disabilities under JWOD/AbilityOne programs.Education preferred: high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred
- At least one (1) year custodial experience preferred
- Ability to understand and follow direction
- Knowledge of cleaning products and when to use them
- Good oral/verbal communication skills
