Job Summary
Empty trash and garbage containers, safely operate cleaning equipment and forklifts, and ensure all floors remain clean at all times. Sweep and clean plant and office floors while removing excess boxes, crates, and trash from containers. Maintain locker rooms, restrooms, and lunchrooms in sanitary conditions, and clear walkways of snow or ice during seasonal tasks. Clean and replace furnace filters and maintain humidifiers as needed. Perform other janitorial or general labor duties throughout the facility as assigned. Work standing on concrete up to 10 hours per day in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery, fumes, and varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Perform work standing on concrete up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to use general mechanic and maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to maneuver in congested work environment with usual working conditions associated with heavy equipment repair (exhaust, solvent, etc.)
- Ability to work on, in, around, and under equipment as necessary to perform duties
- Climb ladders, work platforms, stairs, etc
- Ability to read and interpret necessary instructions or specifications required to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Computer experience desired, particularly the ability to use a mouse, and locate and open/close files
