Job Summary
Conduct cleaning duties to maintain residential and clinical buildings, including emptying trash, washing basins, and sanitizing floors. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and restock hallways, stairways, offices, and restrooms as assigned. Scrub, strip, extract, wax, and buff floors; vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies. Dust low and high areas, wipe surfaces, and make up beds and change linens. Replenish supplies, change light bulbs, and perform light facility maintenance. Transport trash to disposal areas and maintain a clean cart and storage. Adhere to safety policies, use proper PPE, and work under minimal supervision. Part-time on-call position (4 hours/week) at $18.75 + $5.09 H&W in Saint George, AK. Requires high school diploma, 6 months custodial experience, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- At least 6 months experience in custodial services
- Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DOD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to abide by all rules and regulations related to entering and leaving the building that the cleaning is being done in
- Must pass a pre-employment background test
- Must pass functional capacity test
- Must be free of communicable disease
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Training Certificate or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- OSHA 30 Training Certificate or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
