Job Summary
Conduct cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including residential and clinical buildings, in a clean and orderly manner. Empties trash containers, cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs, showers, and glass surfaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation areas, restrooms, and public spaces. Scrub, strip, extract, wax, and buff floors; vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies. Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery. Dust low and high areas. Remove and transport trash to disposal areas. Replenish supplies, amenities, and linens; make up beds. Change light bulbs and perform light facility maintenance. Adhere to safety policies, use proper PPE, and work under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- At least 6 months experience in custodial services
- Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DOD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to abide by all rules and regulations related to entering and leaving the building that the cleaning is being done in
- Must pass a pre-employment background test
- Must pass functional capacity test
- Must be free of communicable disease
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Training Certificate or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- OSHA 30 Training Certificate or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
