Job Summary
Janitor to maintain cleanliness in a medical facility setting, performing cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms and hospital spaces, emptying biomedical waste, restocking supplies, operating cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor buffers, steam cleaners), and adhering to safety protocols. Responds to cleaning requests, maintains professional demeanor with patients and staff, reports maintenance needs, and completes other tasks as requested by the Advanced Building Maintenance team. Requires ability to work independently, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and flexible availability including weekends/holidays. Vaccination and health-screening requirements apply per policy.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or hospital setting
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
