Job Summary
Janitor responsible for gym cleanliness and sanitization across facilities, including windows, mirrors, equipment, floors, restrooms, changing areas, and MMA mats. Tasks include cleaning and disinfecting a wide range of surfaces and areas, restocking supplies, completing checklists/logs, reporting maintenance concerns, and responding to member requests. Must follow safety rules, maintain a positive attitude, work independently, and have 6+ months janitorial/housekeeping experience; able to work overnight shifts. High school diploma or GED preferred; 18+ years old. Clear understanding of proper use of cleaning chemicals and English proficiency; willingness to clock in/out for shifts and adhere to break periods. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work quickly, thoroughly and independently
- Must know and understand the proper use of chemicals and cleaning materials
- Possess extreme attention to detail regarding cleanliness and safety inside the gym
- Displays and promotes a positive and cheerful attitude towards all members and staff
- Adheres to all safety rules
- Proficient in English
- Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times
- Able to work overnight shifts as needed
- Minimum certifications/educational level: Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum experience: Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- At least 6 months experience in janitorial or housekeeping
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force frequently
- Required to stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for a full shift
