Job Summary
Janitor role at gym facility focusing on comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of gym areas including MMA mats, equipment, and restrooms. Responsibilities include cleaning windows, wiping and disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, floor care (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping), carpet shampooing, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance concerns, and following safety and hygiene standards. Requires ability to work an overnight shift as needed, strong attention to detail, proficiency in English, and 6+ months janitorial or housekeeping experience. Shifts are 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, part-time (6–12 hours/week) in Woodbridge, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work quickly, thoroughly and independently
- Must know and understand the proper use of chemicals and cleaning materials
- Possess extreme attention to detail regarding cleanliness and safety inside the gym
- Displays and promotes a positive and cheerful attitude towards all members and staff
- Adheres to all safety rules
- Proficient in English
- Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times
- Able to work overnight shifts as needed
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience in janitorial or housekeeping
- Exerting up to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for a full shift
