Job Summary
Morning Janitor at Sacramento International Airport (SMF) responsible for general cleaning and disinfecting of airport facilities, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, trash removal, cleaning jet bridges, stairways, and common areas, and maintaining gate areas and passenger spaces. Must follow safety procedures and airport regulations; ability to lift and stand for extended periods; 18+ with High School Diploma (or equivalent may be required), reliable transportation, English literacy, and ability to pass drug/alcohol screening with possible DOT/NON-DOT requirements. Shift is 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, weekends and holidays required; pay is hourly and competitive with opportunities for growth. Huntleigh USA Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- General cleaning and disinfecting of offices and airport facilities
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Dusting surfaces
- Emptying trash cans and waste receptacles
- Cleaning and maintaining jet bridges
- Cleaning stairways and common areas
- Maintaining gate areas and passenger waiting spaces
- Following all company safety procedures and airport regulations
- Performing additional cleaning duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, and bend throughout shift
- Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold 10–20 pounds or more with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Must be willing to comply with random testing requirements
- Must be able to pass a required drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable)

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a reliable telephone number for contact purposes
