Job Summary
Pick up trash and litter around grounds and buildings, including gathering and emptying trash and moving dumpsters for city pickup. Maintain neat, clean, and organized maintenance shops, storage areas, recycling zones, and utility rooms. Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum common area floors and steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Service and supply common area restrooms, and perform initial and detailed cleaning of apartment unit turnovers, covering appliances, fixtures, and surfaces. Use and store cleaning products per manufacturer instructions and handle miscellaneous maintenance tasks as directed by the Property Manager. Requires three years of multi-family experience, hazardous material knowledge, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years of multi-family apartment janitorial experience
- Knowledge of proper disposal of hazardous materials, electronic waste as well as recycling practices and water conservation
- Skilled in usage and care of common hand and power tools used in janitorial maintenance work
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 30 lbs
