Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents and staff by sweeping, mopping, pressure washing, and waxing floors daily. Manage landscaping duties including weeding, pruning, and planting, while performing basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, and minor repairs. Transport residents to appointments, maintain vehicles, and conduct monthly fire drills. Supervise shelter logs, update OSHA forms, and report inappropriate behavior to the program manager. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management for the Community Integration Services Program.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Valid Class C California Driver's License
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Minimum one-year experience in housekeeping and grounds maintenance
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Driving record without any moving violation in the last five years
- Knowledge of proper usage of cleaning chemicals as complying with CAL/OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of mopping, stripping, buffing, and waxing floors
- Knowledge of ground maintenance including weeding, pruning, and plant selection
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as brooms and floor cleaning equipment, and reach overhead
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment, blower, lawn mower, and paint sprayer
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
